Meet the Author

Meet Tracy Townsend:  first-time novelist, long-time writer, sometime martial arts tutor, present-day English teacher.  She’s blessed with a family that endures her ironical flare-ups; students courageous enough to write and read for her, but learn for themselves; colleagues capable of cheering her on or backing away very slowly, as the case may be.  Her super-powers include the ability to feed a house full of unexpected guests with nothing more than a box of macaroni, a tomato, and a package of cold cuts, and the ability to recall tremendous quantities of trivial facts useful only in party boarding gaming (seriously:  try her).  She is renowned for her steely gaze and quintessentially Irish penchant for self-deprecation.  Presently armed with a complete novel manuscript, she sallies forth to do the only thing that makes any sense:

Start a blog about the long and troublesome road to getting traditionally published, and her quest to “get noticed” by those who man the battlements of the Big Five.

It will be tough.  It will be humbling.  Not matter what happens, it will be worth it.
Tracy plans to seek the solace of her husband, dog, kids, garden, guitars, board games, books, cooking, and Pilates (in no particular order) as the trials that await demand.
